2.4% year-on-year French inflation in March was mainly driven by increased prices of manufactured goods and tobacco, while food and service prices remained stable, according to INSEE. The country's CPI and HICP both increased 0.2% month-on-month and remained at 2.3% and 2.4% year-on-year respectively. Food inflation dropped from 3.6% to 1.7%, and energy prices grew at a slower pace of 3.4%.
