Dame Karen Poutasi, Chair of Health New Zealand, has submitted her resignation effective immediately. Minister of Health, Dr Shane Reti, expressed gratitude for her service and asked her to continue in the Chair role until the end of May, allowing time for her replacement to be appointed. Dame Karen has been a valuable member of the Board since its establishment and has played a crucial role during Health New Zealand's formation.
