1996 college student killer Paul Flores stabbed again in prison; second attack in a year.
Paul Flores, convicted killer of college student Kristin Smart in 1996, was stabbed for the second time by a fellow inmate at Pleasant Valley State Prison in California. Flores, who is serving a 25-years-to-life sentence, was injured and transported to an outside medical facility for treatment before returning to the prison in fair condition. The assailant has been placed in restricted housing, and the attack is being investigated as an attempted homicide. This marks the second attack on Flores within the past year.
