Australia Post reduces regular letter delivery to every second day at 98% of locations due to online shopping shift and reduced letter usage.

Australia Post will now only deliver regular letters every second day at 98% of locations across the country, under new government regulatory changes. The changes reflect a shift towards online shopping and reduced direct letter usage. From Monday 15 April, letters will be delivered every second day, with an extra business day to manage priority mail. The decision follows a one-year public consultation and a 66% decline in letter volumes since 2008.
