22-year-old Jannik Sinner defeated Sebastian Korda 6-1, 6-2 at the Monte-Carlo Masters, advancing to the third round. Defending champion Andrey Rublev was eliminated in the second round by Australian Alexei Popyrin. Daniil Medvedev reached the third round with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Gael Monfils and will face Karen Khachanov. Stefanos Tsitsipas also advanced, defeating Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-1, 6-0.
