33-year-old NHL player Jakob Silfverberg, alternate captain for the Anaheim Ducks, announces retirement at season's end.

33-year-old Anaheim Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg has announced his retirement from the NHL at the end of the current season. The Swedish player, who has also played for Ottawa Senators, has been an alternate captain for the Ducks since 2018 and has won an Olympic silver medal for Sweden in 2014. Silfverberg has played in 817 career NHL games, scoring 168 goals and accumulating 373 points.
