37-year-old Indonesian maid, Ms Aini, left her job in Singapore without notice, disappearing after heading downstairs to throw away trash at 10pm on March 31. She had been working for a 62-year-old housewife, Ms Ye, for seven weeks, taking care of Ms Ye's intellectually disabled daughter. Ms Aini's work performance was reportedly subpar, and Ms Ye tried to ease the maid's workload by taking over caregiving duties at night.
