84-year-old Dale Graff of Carpio, North Dakota was killed after being struck by a train on Sunday afternoon near Carpio, a town 30 miles northwest of Minot. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that a southbound Canadian Pacific Train operator observed a tractor near the tracks and sounded the horn, later seeing Graff standing on the side of the tracks. Despite continuous horn sounding, the train struck Graff, resulting in fatal injuries.
