Study reveals coronary CT angiography helps identify patients with coronary artery blockage needing revascularization procedures, reducing invasive artery treatments.
A new study found that a non-invasive imaging test called coronary CT angiography (CTA) can help identify patients with coronary artery blockage or narrowing who need revascularization procedures, such as stents or surgeries. This test, which gives a score from mild to severe based on artery blockage, can reduce the need for invasive artery treatments. The findings were published in Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging.
