Three Ontario Provincial Police officers have been praised for rescuing a woman in crisis from the fast-flowing Mississippi River in Carleton Place, with the officers wading chest-deep into the current to save the individual. The OPP Mobile Crisis Response Team, other officers, and the Carleton Place Fire Department were all present at the scene. The young woman was then transported to a local hospital by Lanark County paramedics.
