2nm chip production for Apple devices, including the iPhone 17 Pro, is on track, with TSMC set to commence trial production in late 2024 and begin mass production in 2025, according to a new report. The 2nm manufacturing technology, introduced by TSMC during the 2022 Technology Symposium, will offer either up to 15% higher performance or 30% lower power consumption than N3E - the process used for the iPhone 16 Pro's chip.
