Nigeria's NAFDAC bans Dex Luxury Bar Soap due to prohibited substance, violating Cosmetic Products Regulation and EU ban.
Nigeria's National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has banned the sale and use of Dex Luxury Bar Soap due to the presence of Butyphenyl Methylpropional (BMHCA), a substance prohibited in cosmetic products due to potential harm to the reproductive system and skin sensitization. The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation. The EU has also banned the marketing of the product.
