Strong winds up to 40 mph hit metro Atlanta, causing multiple trees to fall and damage homes. The winds, associated with the back edge of a precipitation band, led to nearly 64,000 people across metro Atlanta losing power. DeKalb County Police advised residents to call 9-1-1 if they notice any trees down and not to attempt removal of tree limbs or objects near downed power lines.
