Minneapolis gang member Montez Brown, aka "Tez Blood", has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison for attempted murder, narcotics trafficking, and possession of a machine gun. Brown was a high-level fentanyl trafficker for the Highs gang, operating in north Minneapolis, a crime hotspot. U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel called gang wars a "public health crisis" in Minneapolis.
