5 people, including 3 family members, were killed and several injured at Sadarghat Launch Terminal in Dhaka, Bangladesh due to a broken mooring line from a launch that struck them. The incident occurred while two launches were attempting to dock between two others in a tight space. The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has suspended the route permits of the involved launches, formed a three-member investigation committee, and detained five staffers for interrogation.
