74% of bereaved people surveyed in Ireland rated end-of-life care for their loved ones as 'very good', while 11% said care was 'fair' or 'poor'. The first National End of Life survey gathered experiences of 4,500 family members and friends. Hospice care was the most positively rated type of care. However, one in ten people said their relative received fair to poor end-of-life care, indicating areas for improvement.
