In March, Irish inflation fell below 3%, marking the fifth consecutive month of a rise in the cost of living under 5%. Annual inflation was 3.4% in February, but excluding energy and unprocessed food, the consumer price index rose 4.1%. Recreation and culture costs saw a significant increase, with package holiday prices rising almost 40% and restaurant/hotel costs increasing by 5.5%.
