International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said that strong growth in the US has boosted the global economic outlook. The US economy grew by 2.5% last year, with robust household consumption and business investment, along with easing supply chain problems contributing to this growth. However, Georgieva also noted that more needs to be done to address the slide in productivity.
