A new $200m plant in Georgia by LanzaJet is set to be the first to produce commercial quantities of a cleaner jet fuel, converting ethanol into fuel compatible with jet engines. This is part of ongoing efforts globally to find and develop cleaner feedstocks for aviation fuel without worsening climate and biodiversity crises. Despite limited progress and the high costs involved, investments continue in producing cleaner fuels for air travel.
