The Department of Energy's National Alliance for Water Innovation (NAWI) receives a $75m, 5-year extension for R&D. NAWI, led by DOE's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will contribute to decarbonizing water and wastewater sectors, improving energy-efficient water use, treatment, and distribution. The funding aims to modernize US water infrastructure, enhance access to clean water, and advance the nation towards a net-zero emissions economy by 2050.
