Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has written to President Droupadi Murmu, urging her to reverse the privatisation of Sainik Schools and nullify agreements made under a new Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Kharge claims an investigative report based on an RTI reply indicates that 62% of these schools are now owned by BJP-RSS leaders, alleging that the privatisation move could damage the national character and inclusiveness of the Sainik Schools. He demands the complete rollback of the privatisation policy and annulment of related MoUs to preserve the character and honor of the Armed Forces Schools.
