Columbiana County commissioners awarded a $275,586 contract to Alan Stone Company, Inc. for a slip repair project on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road. The road, which is slipping and deteriorating, has remained open with barrels blocking the problem area. The county engineer's office received $621,000 in emergency funds from Ohio Public Works to cover construction, engineering, and other project costs.
