A brush fire broke out near Costco in Boca Raton on Thursday, affecting traffic and causing multiple road closures near the Yamato Scrub Natural Area off Clint Moore Drive. The fire, which started at 5 a.m., required a 20-unit first responder response. As of 8:30 a.m., one northbound lane of Congress Avenue was reopened, but firefighters and a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office helicopter remained on the scene to monitor for flare-ups.
