A Vermont man, Tate Rheaume, has been charged with aggravated murder after a head-on crash during a pursuit in Rutland last summer that resulted in the death of 19-year-old police officer Jessica Ebbighausen. Rheaume pleaded not guilty to the new charge and was ordered held without bail pending an evidence hearing. The crash occurred when Rheaume, driving at over 80 mph, drove into oncoming traffic with two fully marked cruisers illuminated, causing the fatal collision.
