Vietnam's livestock product exports grew 4.8% in Q1, reaching $113 million, while imports decreased 6.7% to $702 million. Domestic live hog prices increased by 9.7%, and the country imported 4.85 million tonnes of animal feed ingredients worth $1.65 billion. Vietnam has become one of the top 10 global pork consumers, with pork consumption per capita forecast to reach 32.72 kilos per person by 2029.
