The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party removed Bonginkosi Khanyile as Youth League president and other youth leaders as part of a "strategic redeployment." Khanyile, previously a Fees Must Fall activist and suspected July 2021 riots instigator, will now be a normal member of the youth league. The party has made similar moves in the past, removing and reappointing leaders as needed.
