8th April: Unknown attackers set fire to former Benue State Governor Aku's residence in Gboko, after threatening his family over a goat's death.
On 8th April, the former residence of late former Benue State Governor Aper Aku was set on fire by an unknown group of hoodlums in Gboko. The attackers threatened the family in March after their goat allegedly died from drinking water from Aku's residence. The police rescued six family members prior to the house being set ablaze and are currently investigating the incident. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
