Tennessee's House passed a franchise tax reduction bill, offering $713m in refunds and $400m annually, compared to the Senate's version proposing $1.5bn refunds and annual reductions. Both bills aim to reduce the property value factor in franchise and excise tax, with the House version requiring companies to be listed on a state website for refund transparency. The Senate will now consider concurring or sending the bill to a conference committee.
