Telangana's Senior IPS Officer Rajiv Ratan (1991 batch) passed away due to a cardiac arrest in Hyderabad on April 9. He was the Director General of Telangana Vigilance and Enforcement Department and had recently been heading an inquiry into the alleged corruption in the construction of the Medigadda barrage of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed shock over his sudden demise and praised his longtime service to the police department.
