A tanker truck crash and fire in Johnston County, NC resulted in a fatality and the closure of NC 39. The crash occurred on NC-39 several miles north of Selma, when a tanker truck collided head-on with a car, causing both vehicles to catch fire. The car's driver was killed, and the tanker truck was destroyed.
