Protective Life Insurance Company to acquire ShelterPoint Group, a statutory disability and medical leave provider, in its 60th acquisition.

Protective Life Insurance Company, a US subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, is set to acquire ShelterPoint Group, Inc., a leading provider of statutory disability, paid family and medical leave, and medical gap insurance products. The deal, expected to close before year-end, will be Protective's 60th acquisition. ShelterPoint provides statutory DBL/PFL services in New York and has been expanding into other states.
