8 people died after a cargo ship collided with a fishing boat near China's Hainan island; the Panamanian container ship, SITC Danang, hit the fishing vessel and eight people on board went missing. The fishing boat, Yuenan Aoyu 36062, sank, and after a week-long search and rescue operation, all eight bodies were recovered. The Panamanian container ship is now under investigation for the accident.
