The $48 million repair of Coulson's Creek Road, a vital transport link in the Upper Hunter region, has commenced. The road, initially estimated to cost $10 million, was damaged by heavy rainfall and landslides in 2021, leading to its closure. The upgraded road will feature improved drainage, protection against rock falls, new safety barriers, signage, and line marking, and is expected to be completed by mid-2025. The project is supported by the Australian Government with $38.6 million and the NSW Government with $9.66 million.
