India's Chandrayaan-3 mission team was honored with the 2024 John L 'Jack' Swigert Jr. Award for Space Exploration in recognition of its achievements in space exploration. The mission, developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), was the first to land on the Moon's South Pole, expanding humanity's space exploration aspirations and fostering international cooperation. The award was presented at the annual Space Symposium in Colorado by India's Consul General in Houston, D C Manjunath.
