ISRO Chairman S Somanath announced that the Chandrayaan-4 mission, a critical step towards India's goal of landing an astronaut on the moon by 2040, is currently under development. Chandrayaan-4 aims to collect a lunar sample and bring it back to Earth, demonstrating a full cycle of lunar exploration. Along with the Chandrayaan series, ISRO is working on various projects, including rocket and satellite projects, technology development projects, and the Gaganyaan project, aiming for a human spaceflight demonstration.
