IndiGo, the Indian budget airline, has become the world's third-largest airline by market capitalisation, after shares in its parent company, InterGlobe Aviation, hit a record high of Rs 3,806 apiece. The market cap of InterGlobe Aviation is now over Rs 1,46,000 crore ($17.5 billion). IndiGo's share price has almost doubled in the last year. The airline has also increased its fare by 20-25% on key routes due to high demand.
