Indian fintech firm PhonePe partners with Nepal's eSewa and Hotel Association of Nepal Pokhara to promote digital payments via UPI on Fonepay Network during the Fewa New Year Festival (April 11-14). Over 3,000 merchants participate, with over 100,000 visitors. PhonePe aims to raise awareness about digital payments and create merchant education to boost UPI's uptake on Fonepay Network in Nepal.
