Former sub-postmaster Alan Bates has accused the Post Office of trying to outspend him in the High Court and has taken offense to former postal affairs minister Sir Ed Davey's claim of the government having an "arm's length" relationship with the Post Office. Bates has spent 23 years campaigning for justice for himself and other sub-postmasters who were wrongly treated and convicted.
