Former Rolls-Royce CEO Warren East appointed as NATS chairman to oversee modernization of UK airspace.

Former Rolls-Royce CEO, Warren East, is set to become the chairman of UK air traffic control company NATS from September 1. East, with experience from Rolls-Royce and technology firm ARM, will oversee the modernization of Britain's airspace as NATS continues upgrading systems to improve efficiency. The appointment comes after an air traffic meltdown in August left thousands of passengers stranded.
