6 former Mississippi law enforcement officers who admitted to torturing two Black men will face sentencing in state court on Wednesday. The officers, who have already been sentenced to federal prison terms ranging from 10 to 40 years, will be sentenced by state judge Steve Ratcliff on state charges. The six officers had pleaded guilty to a long list of state and federal charges for their actions in January 2023.
