England's NHS-commissioned review finds weak evidence for gender care outcomes in adolescents.
The evidence supporting gender care for adolescents is "remarkably weak," according to a major review commissioned by England's National Health Service (NHS). The review, which took nearly four years to complete, found that there is little clarity on long-term outcomes for young people undergoing gender care. Dr Hilary Cass, a retired consultant paediatrician and the head of the review, made 32 recommendations for improvements in gender identity services for children and young people.
