Chesterfield County Public Schools Superintendent, Mervin Daugherty, announced his retirement effective June 30th after a 50-year career in education. Daugherty, who has led the district since November 2018, was named Superintendent of the Year for Region 1 of Virginia earlier this year. The school district plans to share details about the process of finding a new superintendent in the coming days.
