CBI registered a case against 2 HPCL assistant managers and 2 private companies for stealing 642 kl of petroleum products worth Rs 5.82 crore from June 2022 to January 2024. The managers allegedly conspired with private transporters, causing a loss of Rs 5.82 crore to the exchequer. CBI seized Rs 12 lakh in cash, property documents, and other incriminating evidence during a search operation in Agra and Mathura.
