The Albanese and Cook Governments are providing disaster recovery assistance to Halls Creek Shire communities in WA's East Kimberley region affected by ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln. The Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) will support eligible repair, rebuild, and recovery activities for local government and communities. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln caused gales, heavy rainfall, and flooding in February 2024, damaging the region's road network.
