50-year-old U.S. MK-82 aerial bomb safely removed from Cambodian sea area by CMAC EOD team.
A Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) team has safely removed a 50-year-old, war-left U.S. MK-82 aerial bomb from a sea area in Preah Sihanouk province's Prey Nob district. The 230 kg bomb was discovered and transported to the CMAC's disposal center by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) expert team. Cambodia has been affected significantly by mines and unexploded ordnances due to past wars.
