27-year-old right-hander Daniel Duarte has been placed on the 15-day injured list by the Minnesota Twins due to a right triceps strain. In response, the Twins recalled infielder Jose Miranda from Triple-A St. Paul. Miranda has a .250 batting average with a home run and three RBIs in seven games for the Saints, and has a .254 average with 18 home runs in 165 major league games for the Twins over the past two seasons.
