Speaking in the Spring-Summer issue of Nylon magazine, Stefani explains that while she understands the insecurities she feels in her relationship, she is in love with her best friend Shelton and knows the truth of their strong marriage. The couple, who met as coaches on "The Voice", were married in July 2021 and have since collaborated on multiple songs.
