In Uttarakhand, the main accused in the murder of Nanakmatta Gurdwara’s Dera Karseva Chief Baba Tarsem Singh was shot dead in a police encounter, according to Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar. The accused, Amarjeet Singh, had a ₹1 lakh bounty on his head. Amarjeet Singh was killed while his accomplice escaped, spurring a joint operation by the Uttarakhand STF and Haridwar Police to apprehend the fugitive.
