The US Space Force awarded Rocket Lab a $14.49 million contract to launch a dedicated Electron rocket mission, STP-S30, within 24 months. The mission will carry research experiments and tech demonstrations for the DoD, with primary payload DISKSat testing a unique, 1-meter diameter disk-shaped satellite bus. The STP-S30 mission will contribute to the development of future space systems and enhance on-orbit persistence.
