Satirist Armando Iannucci and journalist Sally Magnusson have been elected as honorary fellows of Scotland's national academy for learning, the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE). Iannucci is recognized for his satirical work, writing, directing, and producing, while Magnusson is elected for her charity work, including her dementia charity, Playlist for Life. The RSE comprises about 1,800 fellows from various fields, such as sciences, literature, law, and business.
